Aloha Kākou,
Our last family reunion was in 2012. We had four family lines represented at that reunion in Hilo. Since then, we have lost an important family member in Ronette Obrey who did most of the research and family lineage of the Limahana line which dates back to the late 1700s. This reunion is to honor her and all family members and kupuna that we have lost since the last reunion and before.
We wanted to have a ten year reunion in 2022 but the pandemic changed all our plans. So here we are today. Ready to seize the day in bringing our beautiful ʻOhana together to celebrate love and togetherness as one again!
With that said, the reunion committee members are extremely excited to bring us all together with a new family line being represented in Kamaka, sister to Kaʻakau! (pic on left)
Special thanks to Angela Dibelka for the cover art design!
The reunion committee hopes you can make our family reunion this year. Our connection to each other is most important and we understand it will take effort to gather as one again.
The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations. Don’t miss out!
